Terri's Spicy Vegetable Smoothie

"This is so healthy and delicious, I could drink it every day. Compare to commercial vegetable juice; this has no added salt and doesn't need it. Switch up your veggies, fruits and spices and try different combinations."

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach, or more to taste
  • 1 carrot, roughly chopped
  • 1 rib celery
  • 1 small tomato, halved
  • 1/2 apple, cored
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 (1/2 inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 pinch salt-free seasoning blend (such as Mrs. Dash® Southwest Chipotle), or to taste
  • 1 dash hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot ®), or to taste
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
  • water to cover

Instructions :

  • Combine spinach, carrot, celery, tomato, apple, lime juice, ground flaxseed, ginger, seasoning blend, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a blender; add enough water to cover. Blend mixture until smooth.

Notes :

  • Use lemon juice instead of lime juice, if desired.
  • Apple juice or any juice can be used in place of the water.
